The Burda subsidiary has conquered a new medium for BAMBI.
BAMBI TUNOG brings the animated trophy of the most important German media award to multimedia cell phones.

[01.12.2005] Big stars, important moments: The BAMBI, Germanys most prominent media prize, is to be awarded today, the 1st of December 2005 in Munich. Founded by Hubert Burda Media, the award honors the publics stars and outstanding personalities. The bronze fawn cased in gold has had a permanent place in the limelight since 1958. Now the curtains open once again, this time providing the famous fawn with a stage to present a new medium: the cell phone. As an animated figure, the deer signals seven functional modes of the cell phone, including incoming calls, text messages and empty battery.

Each animation has a length of around five seconds, after which it repeats itself. The virtual Bambi is activated by software from Burda Wireless which can be installed on an array of S60 Smart Phones of the earlier Series-60 platform.
